GRAYTON BEACH

Our 3 day stay at Grayton Beach State Park had an unexpected...but delightful twist. Most state parks are in the wilderness and far away from civilization...but not this one. Two very quaint towns (Seaside & Watercolor) were within a very short bike ride from our camp but once we got there we road for hours...in marvel of the meticulously kept very large cottages "with carriage houses" one after another...after another...most summer homes.

These two towns ran together along the Gulf Shoreline with a wide variety the small shops and restaurants to accommodate the large number of people that visit during the summer...Memorial Day is the start of there season...and we are happy to say we missed the "masses"...so we got a real good look around...without getting run over...got lost a couple times...but not run over
