Because we didn't realize that it was a holiday weekend and had not made reservations into the Yosemite Village Campground as planned.
So we stayed just outside the park about 50 miles south at Bass Lake situated in the Sierra National Forest with great views of this good size lake...One of our best spots yet and we stayed two nights.
To think we would have missed it if Christopher Columbus didn't discover America!!!SanTony
