This was our first campfire and it felt pretty good with the weather getting a little cooler on the coast.
A beautiful rustic spot in the middle of Redwoods and next to a stream, very peaceful.
We also took a hike 1,000 feet up through the forest to Buzzard Roost which overlooks the Pacific Ocean. This 5 mile back and forth trail took one & a half hours to climb to the top and a little less than an hour to get back to the stream...perfect for us! 
We were almost alone at this campground but understand like at most spots along the coast you need reservations in the summer, a real plus traveling this time of year.
Our next stop will be in inland and east to Paso Robles and back to Wine Country where it will be a little warmer.
