We have been holed up at the Arizona Paynes for 33 days doing small repairs, upgrades and waxing the RV.

ith more relatives coming into town we decided to get away for a few days and head (south) to the Tucson area. Where you would think it would be a little warmer...but with elevations up to 8,500 ft. it was a little cool...beautiful...but cool.
Our first stop was the Saguaro National Park and the Sonora Desert Museum.
We took a ranger guided tour at the National Park and learned more about the plants, animals, birds and evaluation of the desert.
Then we went down the road to the Desert Museum, a World-Renowned Zoo, Natural History Museum and Botanical Garden all wrapped into one were we saw interpretive displays of living animals and plants native to the Sonoran Desert region.
The highlight for us was the Raptor Free Flight...A dynamic bird of pray flight demonstration that occurs in the open desert...with Harris Hawks flying just inches over our heads.
