HOME FOR THE SUMMER

This is just a quick note to say we are home and getting into our summer routine.

As most of you know...we like to eat and we love BBQ...so when
we heard about this place that was right on our way as we left
the Gulf Shores we just had to give it a try. It's in a little house
set back off the road with plenty of room to park the RV, Being
to early to eat on one of there three outside tables
we got it to go...but we didn't get enough...
(VERY...VERY...VERY GOOD)

We always try to stop at Elks Lodges and this one was right on
the way in Anniston AL...Only problem our membership expired
12 days earlier... They let us stay but wouldn't let us in to have
dinner which meant they lost out on some revenue.

This is a nice place we stayed at in Cave Spring Georgia
called Cedar Creek RV Park and Outdoor Center with canoes
and kayaks for rent and sale. Maybe a couple kayaks in the future
being a lot of the places we stay have water axes.

As we moved into north Georgia we stayed at Bald Ridge Creek
on Lake Lanier just north of Atlanta. A good spot to stay for a couple
days while we visited cousin Craig Riddle, wife Jaclyn and energetic
son Zack. Check out there beautiful new home and get a golf lesson.

We also found time to take in a little of the Senior Golf at the
Pro-Am leading up to the Mitsubishi Electric Classic at the
TPC Sugarloaf course in Duluth, GA which was close to where
they live and Craig got passes. This was John Daly first senior
tournament which made us feel a little older.
But he still hits it a long way...

Of course we also have an automotive enthusiast side of the
family that is making things interesting out in California. Nephew
Brad Payne has been re-doing his Mustang to make it Full Race Ready
over the past year. We understand his first race was a success with
nothing to ding out...Keep it that way Brad so we can take in a race when
we visit next fall.

His brother Scott's new "Bad Ass" limited addition Camaro might
give him a run for his money but we don't think you will ever see
this beauty on the race track...not officially anyway!

Being home also allows us to catch up with Grand Nephews and
Grand Kids like taking in a couple of Erich Payne's baseball games.
We look forward to follow his games both in person and hopefully
on line as he starts college at John Carroll.

Which is the same school that our oldest Granddaughter just
graduated from at which she played varsity volleyball all 4 years.
Her next task will be graduate school to become a Physicians Assistant.

And attending our "Songbird" of the family...Andrea's final school
concert of her junior year before she goes to Europe with a select members
from her choral group. Andrea has also decided to attend the
University of Cincinnati where she will continue the arts along with
business...very gifted!

Of course summer wouldn't be the same around hear without getting
a few flowers planted and the pool ready for a party or two.

We will be heading west in October...so until then
have a good summer!!!
