Tucked away into a tiny fishing community south of San Luis Obispo we found a number of first come....first serve campsites over looking Port San Luis in Avila Beach.
As we drove up we noticed 2 were open and 4 RV's were in our rear view mirror....that was close.
This was a perfect spot for a 2 day stay while visiting the Hearst Castle...where these pictures were taken of the main entrance and a couple of swimming pools.On the wharf there was a couple of seafood restaurants that we tried out
....both got A+
We also got serenaded by Sea Lions along the pier....seems they also new where to go for a good meal...
