GULF SHORE & SHRIMP FEST

The Gulf Shore S.P. which is being rebuilt after hurricanes is one, if not the nicest state parks we have ever stayed at and yes there is a golf course here. Along with a number of hiking/biking trails, an unbelievable swimming pool complex, modern bathhouses, new laundry facilities and a short bike ride to gulf beach.

This town, the state park and all the local attractions that come with the coastal surroundings makes this a great stop on this trip...Then throw in the 40th Annual National Shrimp Festival...WOW ... what timing. Shrimp of course, fixed many ways along with an over whelming selection of seafood and Cajun specialties. There were also over 400 merchants and artist booths along with over 50 activities for kids in a special section...all to the background music of over 35 continuing playing soloist & groups...good timing..good time..Great Place.
