We left Harrison Bay S.P. & Tennessee...in the rain...without playing golf, but we made up for that the next couple days just south of Birmingham at Oak Mountain S.P., another nice place to camp with a very nice golf course, but Sandy's not yet a fan of bent grass.

Then we had a long driving day (for us) of 245 miles ending at the Elks Lodge #108 in Mobile for an over night stay. We thank Mike Holcombe and the rest of the members for there hospitality and history lesson on there lodge and community. This was our first of many Elks stays.
In the morning we decided to visit the spectacular Bellingrath Gardens & Home just south of the lodge and on our way to the ferry and Gulf Shores. Mr. Bellingrath was the first Coca-Cola bottler in the Mobile area and begin developing the gardens in 1927. We needed more time to do this place justice and we will return to do a more deserving tour.

Then off to our ferry ride (Lexi's 2nd.) between Dauphin Island & Fort Morgan at the entrance to Mobile Bay on our way to Gulf Shores S.P. where we had reservations.
