TENNESSEE

For those of you that are paying attention and are up on your geography...we didn't fly over the rest of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama...we didn't spend much time there...with both the cold weather setting in and our trip clock reminding us to keep moving north. We did stay at the Hollywood Casino RV Park in Bay St. Louis in MS...with a unbelievable seafood buffet(a keeper) ...and we stopped in Tuscaloosa AL to drive through the University of Alabama with a quick visit to see the Coach Paul Bryant Museum...and we did stop in Huntsville AL to play one of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail course's...but other than that... we kind of just drove through...but it was a very nice drive...and we will be back to play more of the Jones.

Now our journey has taken us to Tennessee and a stop at the Jack Daniel Distillery...established in 1866 and in the dry county of Moore...seems strange but true that employees of the largest company in the city of Lynchburg have to travel over a half hour to buy any of there product.

We went on a very informative tour that took us through the entire distilling process along with the history of the Jack Daniel's and Old #7

We were lucky that Mr. Daniel took some time out of his busy day to pose for this picture...along with a few others.

The camp site that we stayed at the night before our stop at distillery was nothing to get exited about but they had as an entrance this very nice Covered Bridge...another first for Lexi...

We now head for another first...a state park...Harrison Bay will be be the first state park that we will stay at...and in part because Tennessee does not have a separate yearly fee that you need to buy. Some state's yearly fee make it too expensive to just stop 1 or 2 times a year...so we will buy a states pass, like Texas, where we plan to spend more time.
