OUR LAST WEST ADVENTURES...THIS YEAR

We learned more about a place we have just traveled through before and found that our friends from BC were heading that way. So we decided to venture back into California to Palm Springs area and stayed at the Sands RV and Golf Resort in Desert Hot Springs for a week.

The Sands was just taken over by the Cal-Am Resort Group and are already
making there mark with improvements. What doesn't need much improvement is the golf course with the majestic scenery of the San Jacinto Mountains and San Gorgonio Wilderness.

The debate goes on...do you push...or pull?

While staying at the Sands we ventured over to the Woodhaven Country Club for a more {up scale} golf experience. This was the first time we have run
across window insurance... The guys bought it...but didn't need it!

As you can see this was a beautiful course

As  we moved into week two of March and back to Surprise AZ we were treated to one side trip for this year...A little five day trip to Lake Havasu along
the Colorado River.

The London Bridge Resort was our base with our nephews boat docked
adjacent to resort over looking the London Bridge...A beautiful setting!

Also a nice setting to celebrate Tony's 69th. Birthday!

Of course the real celebration took place in a brewery...

...And yes beer was involved..

Along with a Great Berry Salad and Jambalaya and Rice Bowl

Yes it was Spring Break...but we got through it...

Also just a little toast to St Patties Day...{Jamison Style}

Danielle and Gavin Payne really like being on the water..

A so does there Uncle Tony!

With the beautiful contrast of mountains and blue water to make a very
enjoyable boat ride

A little trip up the Colorado to the Pirate Cove Resort
with Caption Gavin at the wheel.

We spent our last day motoring around a little farther down river in Parker
which was a real surprise with all the canals.

You see this sort of thing in Florida...not Arizona...well yes you do..
and know we know were to look!
